Office Manager

Piringa Hapū is seeking to employ an experienced Office Manager to coordinate and oversee administrative duties in their office to ensure that the office operates efficiently and smoothly. This position will be 40 hours per week to be worked over a flexible 7 day rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Managing Front Desk
  • Manage & report on office budgets
  • Schedule Meetings & Co-ordinate Travel
  • Develop Office Policies and Procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately
  • Oversee administrative staff and support them with administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience in general office administration, experience managing others
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, and ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
  • Able to learn quickly and put into practice new skills and knowledge
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, adapt to the unexpected and work well under pressure
Our Background:

The Hapū Authority Trust was established in 2019 to advance and promote the wellbeing of uri of Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāi Te Upokoiri me ōna piringa hapū, Ngāti Mahuika and Ngāti Honomōkai. The purposes of the Hapū Authority include the advancement of social, cultural and economic wellbeing of affiliated whānau residents in Aotearoa. This will be achieved through education, cultural enhancement, financial support, housing and infrastructure development, employment and advocacy for our people.

Our hapū of Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāi Te Upokoiri, Ngāti Mahuika and Ngāti Honomōkai will always work together as one in a community of peace and in a way that will create wellbeing for us so that we may practice our own Tino Rangatiratanga for the benefit of all whānau, our marae, hapū and surrounding environment.
